Job Summary
This position is responsible for the strategic planning, delivery, and continuous improvement of IT services in support of business objectives. The role leads stakeholder engagement and manages internal and external resources across all phases of the Service Management lifecycle for the assigned services. This position will have direct resources and ownership of the Service Strategy, Service Design, and Service Transition processes in addition to service accountability leveraging shared resources and processes for Service Operations, Service Portfolio Management and Continual Service Improvement.


Job Responsibilities:

• Lead team member performance management, development, and engagement

• Lead and perform Application Portfolio Management for all assigned services including service strategy planning, risk assessments, and roadmaps

• Build relationships and engage with internal and external users of the assigned services to align business and IT strategies, develop strategic and annual roadmaps, and support service portfolio investment planning.

• Establish relationships with suppliers and manage supplier acquisition and oversight in support of assigned services and projects, leveraging shared vendor management and purchasing processes and services.

• Accountable for managing the shared services and results of service operations based on defined service levels and key performance reporting to establish and execute on continuous improvement action plans

• Delivery on strategic and continuous improvement project commitments in line with approved scope, schedule, budget, and quality metrics

• Manage resource allocation, forecasts, and budgets across project, standard work, and employee development activities

• Actively support and contribute to the development and consistent use of ITIL processes and tools across the IT organization.

• Collaborate across peer groups to achieve positive results and support their efforts

• Manage department budget per operating plan.

• Ensure execution of continuous improvement cost reduction opportunities and trailing cost elimination.

Education Required

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Management or a related discipline.

• Master's degree is a plus

• Certifications in ITIL, PMP, PMI-PBA or IIBA are a plus

Experience Required

• A minimum of 8 years of IT experience, with a proven record of accomplishment in planning, managing, and delivering information systems and services

• Extensive relevant work experience, including management of services, applications, teams, and projects

• Proven ability to develop plans and execute to delivery on strategic, annual and department goals

• Ability to cope with change and work effectively without having the total picture

• Ability to organize people and activities into an efficient workflow

• Demonstrated ability to use rigorous logic and methods in solving difficult problems

• Provides direct, complete and actionable feedback to others

• Resolves conflicts quickly and settles disputes equitably

• Provides resources with information required to do an effective job and make the best possible decisions

• Effective communicator and presenter in formal and informal settings

• Communicates a compelling and inspired vision or sense of core purpose

• Relates well to people at all levels both inside and outside the organization. Highly self-motivated and directed

• Facilitation and project management skills, as well as the ability to apply those skills at the senior leadership level

• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills as well as strong skills and experience in issue resolution and managing to stringent timelines for project deliverables
Preferred

• Three or more years of direct management of applications or services

• Experience with Financial Services platforms preferred

• Exposure to both in-house and cloud based systems, multiple hardware platforms, and integrated information and communications systems.

• Ability to manage teams across a global environment and 3rd party partner services

Supplemental Information
This position will reside in the HDFS Plano, TX center with frequent travel (20-25% between HDFS and HDI locations)
