Our Strategy Sustainment team is currently looking for a Digital Product Manager. The Digital Product Manager develops products by identifying potential opportunities; conducting market research; generating product requirements; determining specifications, business cases, production timetables, pricing, and time-integrated plans for product introduction; assisting with marketing strategies, and overseeing product delivery.

Here's what you'll do:

• Lead efforts in the Digital program space. Manage the successful delivery of large-scale, enterprise wide, cross-functional, strategic projects.

• Determine customers' needs and desires by specifying the research needed to obtain market information.

• Recommend the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements; appraising new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes.

• Assess market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products.

• Bring new products to market by analyzing proposed product requirements and product development programs; preparing return-on-investment analyses; establishing time schedules with various cross-functional teams to include engineering and IT.

• Determine product pricing by utilizing market research data; reviewing production and sales costs; anticipating volume; costing special and customized orders.

• Define and manage the full product lifecycle and provide organization wide governance to ensure all aspects of the market offering are complete and integrated.

• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

• Oversee the day-to-day development and delivery activities.

• Initiate projects or programs by establishing the scope, developing the approach, performing the risk analysis, preparing plans, and compiling the Integrated Business Case (IBC). This will involve implementing the strategic intent as well as piloting capabilities in support of new initiatives and working with several functional areas to determine the appropriate level of strategic and tactical direction.

• Provide ongoing executive updates. Work closely with various stakeholders to deliver an appropriate solution and strategy.

• Provide continuity, and flow of information, among the various stakeholders.

Education Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology or a related field is required. An advanced degree is preferred.

Experience Required
We are looking for someone with..

A minimum of eight (8) years of progressive management experience dealing with large, complex projects and programs. In addition, you will have demonstrated the following:

• Extensive experience in Agile capabilities, ideally in an Automotive / OEM / Manufacturing environment.

• Extensive experience with leading digital capabilities, to include Mobile, IoT, Cloud, Big Data, Mapping and sensor based technologies

• Extensive experience bridging the Hardware / Software divide to create a single, integrated customer solution

• Extensive experience managing the full product lifecycle to include research, opportunity development, business case development, design and delivery, commercialization, support and retirement

• Excellent organization, facilitation, coaching, interpersonal, change management, negotiation and communication skills to interact with all levels of company leadership.

• Broad knowledge of the business with strong continuous improvement knowledge and skills.

• Leadership skills which, influence beyond formal authority and, proactively support activities within a matrix organization.

• Experience in digital product management, project and program budgeting/forecasting, and tracking to key metrics and deliverables.

• Possesses and utilizes sound technical and administrative judgment to ensure successful decision-making even when information may be incomplete or ambiguous.

• Has experience in leading and managing large scale change through the use of standard change management methodologies

• A high level of discipline, results-oriented management process, and a strong sense of responsibility and accountability are required.

• Experience in conflict intervention and resolution, together with a demonstrated ability to confront issues is also required.

• Has experience and is skilled in managing external consulting partnerships through a collaborative approach to meet business needs.
