Join us as an Indirect Procurement Lead and help support the overall process of contracting across all spend categories and strategic outsourced programs and procurement activities.

Here is what you'll do:

• Develop strategic plans for the implementation of major indirect procurement activities essential to achieving work unit plans' goals and objectives focusing on quality, cost, timing, and compliance.

• Work closely with the H-D Legal Department and facilitate and improve the overall contracting process for the Procurement of Indirect goods and services.

• Lead strategic procurement initiatives supporting key outsourced business processes.

• Process owner for the end to end lifecycle management of contracts utilized for Indirect spend, responsible for ensuring the proper utilization of standard terms and conditions and other legal documents.

• Serve as the interface between the H-D Legal Department, the IP organization, and third-party Contract Services team in the execution of the contracting process.

• Deliver value to the organization through developing and leading RFx initiatives, evaluating supplier proposals (scope, cost, timing, resource modeling, risk, etc.), supplier recommendation and qualification to ensure project success.

• Educate stakeholders on procurement processes, roles & responsibilities, proper engagement, and appropriate supplier facing communications.

Education Required
A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or equivalent is preferred.

Experience Required

• Requires a minimum of eight (8) years' experience within procurement or related experience

• Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM) certification or Certified Paralegal (CP) certification is preferred

• Knowledge of business law and how to apply to the procurement process

• Ability to effectively translate business requirements into contract terms

• Ability to develop contract negotiation strategies

• Continuous improvement skills and the ability to manage and improve business processes

• Ability to challenge the status quo and provide alternate solutions, leading through indirect influence

• Position will require 5-10% travel for supplier visits, conferences etc.
