Job Summary:

This Engineering leadership position is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the product development team to assure delivery of parts and accessory designs to established Quality, Cost, & Timing (QCT) targets. This role will develop best practices using standardized processes and tools: benchmarking; design & simulation guidelines; Design Failure Mode & Effect Analysis (DFMEA) & Design Verification Planning & Report (DVP&R) templates; drawing templates; critical path planning templates and general knowledge management. Additionally, the manager is responsible for collaborative relationship building with the broader internal and external development resources, the performance of a team of engineers and designers and the management of the engineering budgets associate with assigned projects.

Education Required
Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master's degree is preferred (technical or MBA).

Experience Required
The position requires a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience to include a broad knowledge of concepts, methods and terminology as well as substantial hands on experience producing high value measurable results on complex projects within the following areas:

• Electrical component & system design/specification

• Electrical architecture development/specification

• Additionally, developing knowledge of concepts, methods and terminology with moderate hands on experience is required in project management.
