Position:
The Staff Engineer, Infotainment and Connectivity, is an experienced expert who is able to go deep and execute vision and plans for Infotainment and Connectivity. They will support continuous HMI development to execute the next generations of industry-leading Harley-Davidson motorcycles. This position reports to the Manager Infotainment and Connectivity and is responsible to:

• Develop and deliver Infotainment and Connectivity component/systems that follow the H-D strategy and supports product life cycle plans across the H-D vehicle portfolio, including modularity/complexity strategies.

• Partner with key stakeholders to drive alignment on future state, executing cross-functional plans for industry-leading system architectures (aesthetically appealing, intuitive, high quality, high performance, lightweight, low cost, fast to market)

• Work with strategic suppliers' to drive development and help ensure H-D's successful implementation.

• Resolve technical integration issues & design issues with appropriate stakeholders

• Lead ongoing HMI development of Infotainment and Connectivity components

• Travel 5-10% annually

Education Required

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering or similar required

• Master's Degree is preferred (technical or MBA)

Experience Required

• Minimum of eight (8) years of professional experience in related technical field

• Track record of developing and delivering a wide variety of Infotainment & Connectivity designs to production

• Strong understanding of the underlying technology and tools to optimize, develop and validate performance of Infotainment & Connectivity systems hardware, software and User Experience

• Extensive experience with developing UI frameworks and HMI application in Qt and deployment on Linux or QNX

• Strong Programming skills in C++ or C for embedded systems

• Strong debugging and problem solving skills focused on software development
