Job Summary
-Support the production operation by providing immediate response to all breakdowns to minimize equipment downtime and follow all escalation processes as defined.
- Ability to perform production tasks as necessary or required by the situation.
-Troubleshoot and perform all required mechanical maintenance on automated equipment.
- Performs lubrication tasks as necessary
- Performs welding repairs as necessary.
- Have a good understanding of Mechanical and Hydraulic systems
- Insure machine availability goals are met by participating in and organizing Root Cause Analysis activities to improve equipment up-time.
- Assists in training employees in production roles to perform simple maintenance tasks as associated with TPM.
- Understand Predictive Maintenance technologies in order to understand when they apply to problems and participate in utilizing them as deemed necessary
- Wears communication device as deemed necessary
-Actively participate in any Skills Training Program required
-Lockout equipment to be maintained and follow all safety practices and procedures.
- Wears all required PPE for task being performed
- Perform routine Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities.
- Utilize the CMMS to record and track work activities including time keeping, historical equipment repairs and work order/PM closures
- Operates necessary material handling equipment to transport supplies to job and to make installations and repairs.
- Performs routine and customary material handling and housekeeping associated with the job.
- Instructs helper or apprentice and acts as leader on jobs as required.

Education Required
High School Diploma or GED

Experience Required
- Candidates must have a Journeyman's Card or five years of applicable experience as Maintenance Mechanic, Industrial Mechanic, Machine Repair, CNC Service Technician, or equivalent trade with experience to include the following:
-Two (2) years of CNC machine repair experience. Machine repair experience should include:
- Troubleshooting repair of metal working CNC equipment, HMCs, VMCs, slant bed lathes, hobs, shapers, grinders, and hones.
- Operating manual metal working equipment such as: drills, mills, lathes, and grinders to make or modify machine replacement parts.
- Interpreting prints of machine assembly, layouts, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems for troubleshooting and repair.
-Troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Utilizing Microsoft Office and computerized Maintenance Management system, or equivalent program.
