Scope of Job:

To provide industry leading services, a variety of specially designed tools and equipment are required. Halliburton’s Production Group provides the key technologies in the research, design, development, and support of its specialized well servicing equipment.  This includes, but not limited to, Coil Tubing, Hydraulic Work Over and Sustaining Engineering services.  The candidate selected for this high visibility Engineering opportunity at our North Belt Campus in Houston, TX will be an individual who strives in a collaborative environment and can drive on-time delivery of engineering principles within our projects.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply knowledge of electro-mechanical principles and PLC techniques
  • Implement Systems Engineering principles
  • Work as an integral team member in a multi-discipline technology team (program management, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, software engineering, etc) as well as cross-functional team (manufacturing, field operations, product management, etc)
  • Ability to develop, analyze and implement design requirements
  • Strong familiarity with design verification and validation methodologies
  • Implements common problem solving methodologies and solution implementation
  • Strong communication skills and the capability to communicate crisply and objectively
  • Ability to maintain priorities and enable delivery of program schedule to business needs
  • Document design requirements and transform into Engineering specifications


Education, Licensure, and Experience:

  • Completion of an undergraduate degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent, Master’s degree preferred
  • Design Engineering and familiarization with PLC technologies and application
  • Solid foundation of statistics and applied principles
  • Fluent usage in creation of Engineering Drawings to document design requirements
  • Fluent ability to create Engineering specification documentation to characterize system requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience
  • Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) and other Lean Tool familiarization (optional)
  • Possession of a PE license (optional)
