SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Assists the Benefits Supervisor and Human Resource Department in all administrative and project-oriented tasks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Participates in assigned administrative support functions including research, data analysis, and report writing.
* Works independently and within a team on special, nonrecurring, and ongoing projects, which may include: gathering and organizing data, creating database records and reporting information.
* Types and designs general correspondence, memos, charts, tables, graphs, etc. Proofreads copy, making appropriate changes. Responsible for accuracy and clarity of final copy.
* Updates and maintains Administrative personnel files.
* Provides support to Field Management by answering questions and following up on inquiries.
* Research and compile operation/management reporting, which may include but not limited to, overtime analysis, administrative hours, weekly hires, key numbers, and monthly hours.
* Administers safety incentive program.
* Create and maintain audit reports, which may include but not limited to, turnover numbers, key numbers for the department, payroll deductions, department headcounts, on time percentages, employment eligibility audits.
* Assists with mailroom coordination ensuring coverage and supplies are ordered timely.
* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
* Ensures the highest level of customer service and confidentiality at all times.
* All other job duties as assigned.
* Monthly billing (Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, HSA).
* Run weekly /bi weekly processes (deductions for FSA/HSA, premiums to vendors).
* One on one benefit meetings with all new hires in corporate building.
* Make new hire packets & distribution in corporate building or mailing to home addresses if out of town employees.
* Entering benefit deductions into payroll system & vendors.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to meet each essential duty and responsibility to a satisfactory level. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or experience required. * Strong knowledge of computer applications, spreadsheets, word processing and database management.
* Understanding of federal, state and local labor laws beneficial.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

* High school diploma or equivalent; a minimum of two years related administrative experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Human Resource knowledge preferred.
