JOB SUMMARY

The purpose of this role is to allow a student to experience various roles and accountabilities in a HR department through an internship. Internships may vary in duration depending on the needs of the student and availability of meaningful opportunities within Haemonetics. The intern will acquire a variety of experiences, try different skills, and learn what a future career in HR might offer while also contributing by completing various projects and assigned tasks. Under the direction of the Human Resources Leadership Team, this internship covers many areas in the Human Resources field.

We are in the process of creating a platform where all pertinent information is available to employees, managers, and job seekers/candidates. We are currently building, testing and planning to deploy various enhancements to our internal HR systems and this role will take part in various aspects of this department-wide initiative. This is an exciting and excellent opportunity to learn, grow, and get hands on experience working on various topics including, but not limited to, HR operations, HR information systems, Corporate Communications and full employee life-cycle Talent Management processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

* Complete project-based assignments as required to enhance our systems and integration efforts
* Help test, validate and summarize key project milestones
* Assist in the development and auditing of intranet or web content, write and create content
* Assist with the associated logistics, research, and/or other tasks related to employee communications and engagement efforts
* Take part in team meetings and track decisions and progress made
* Share recent learnings and any perceptions about the process and policies encountered
* Comply with all Haemonetics safety, quality and confidentiality policies
* Comply with all HR policies
* Complete tasks under the close direction of the department
* Analyze and update data in Oracle, Excel, and other company systems

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

* The HR Intern will work closely with Talent Management, HR Business Partners, and HR Ops
* S/he may also collaborate with members of Compensation, Payroll, and leaders across the Company

Preferred Qualifications

* Computer skills: Microsoft office, Word, PowerPoint, Excel
* Outstanding interpersonal and written communication skills
* Positive attitude, collaborative and team-conscious
* Experience handling sensitive information a plus
