Job Description

24 Temporary Full Time Forest Worker Positions. Work site(s): Begin; Sacramento, Sacramento County, CA 95838 @ $11.73/hour. Provided daily Transport to & from the worksite. Continue into States of CA, NV, UT. 4/1/18-10/30/18.

Possible duties: Dig holes all day to then hand plant tree seedlings w/o J/U root using hand planting tool(s) in various weather/terrain conditions, maintain surrounding vegetation by pruning, thinning, clearing, pile slash, clear debris, hand release & other related Forest Worker activities per SOC/OES 45-4011 (onetonline.org). Must be 18 due to travel. Must show proof of legal authority to work in U.S. Drug/Alcohol/Tobacco free work zone. Must walk substantially (up to 15 miles/day), also stoop, bend while carrying a pack (up to 50lbs) through rough terrain (non-trail). Must have 3 months Commercial Brush saw/Chainsaw experience.

No minimum Education requirement. Applicants must be willing, qualified, to perform work described & available for entire period specified. $11.54/hour up to Possible $22.59/hour. OT $17.31/hour up to Possible $33.89/hour, Wage may vary. Possible daily/weekly hours: 6:30AM-3:00PM. 40+ (plus) to include lunch break Monday-Satirday Possible weekend/holiday work. Outdoors, exposed to weather; must be capable of doing physically strenuous labor for long hours, occasionally in extreme heat or cold. Variable weather conditions apply; hours may fluctuate (+/-), Possible downtime &/or OT. OT available, not required. Employer will comply w/all applicable federal, state & local laws pertaining to OT hours. H&W benefits may apply.

Transport: Will provide/pay cost of worker return transport, subsistence from worksite to place from which worker departed to work for employer if worker completes period of employment or dismissed from employment before end of work period above. Transport & subsistence will be provided for cost from the place from which the worker has come to work for the employer, whether in the U.S. or abroad, to the place of employment. Guaranteed offered work hours at least 3/4s of workdays each 12/week period of total employment period. Use/maintain of employer provided tools/equipment/ supplies @ no cost/deposit.
