Application Support Manager

HIGHLIGHTS

JOB SUMMARY
GTN Technical Staffing is currently seeking an Application Support Manager for a direct hire opportunity located in Coppell, TX. The Application Support Manager will manage the assigned staffs that support major business applications developed with; K2, Fiserv Scripting, ServiceNow, SalesForce, and SharePoint. This position will also support standards and practices, procedures and resources to maintain applications consistent with business requirements including appropriate business continuity, systems availability, quality management, reporting, technical services support and application enhancements. This position will serve as a direct liaison to the business directors and will provide progress and status updates, as well as reports as needed.

  • Responsible for applications support activities.
  • Review application system project requests and coordinate schedules and related departmental activities.
  • Provide overall direction and guidance to assigned project manager and application developers.
  • Review and evaluate work of subordinate staff and prepares performance reports.
  • Prepare activity and progress reports regarding applications systems projects and enhancements.
  • Directing on-going customer service and problem resolution for all supported applications.
  • Overseeing application support, enhancements, maintenance, interfaces, reporting and resource management
  • Overseeing application issues and issues resolution
  • Developing, reviewing and/or writing SOPs, specific practices and procedures, as well as other technical documents.
  • Reviewing system projects requests, coordinates schedules and related department activities
  • Coordinating projects across multiple departments to achieve satisfactory results.
  • Proactively managing assigned responsibility to achieve business and strategic goals Complying with all policies and procedures.
  • Employing IT best practices consistent with IT direction and initiatives.
  • Timely escalation of issues to ensure project success.
  • Use of Program Management Office (PMO) processes and practices on projects.
  • Mentor employees, conduct performance evaluations if applicable, counsel and provide disciplinary actions to assigned personnel with a goal of developing a team oriented approach with positive results.
  • Assist in driving performance management.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
8+ years of experience with the following skill sets

  • Must have 8-10 years of related IT experience including 1 to 2 years in a management capacity
  • Experience with contract negotiation and management for hardware, software and carrier
  • Strong experience in troubleshooting and recommending corrective procedures
