Inside Sales Representative

Government Scientific Source Inc., GSS, a veteran-owned small business supplier of laboratory products and equipment to the federal government, is seeking a dynamic, high-achieving sales individual for the position of Inside Sales Representative.

This is a non-supervisory position within our growing sales department with excellent opportunities for growth based on performance.

Job Duties (include but not limited to):

  • Perform a range of laboratory sales duties and account management for assigned government accounts on a national basis.
  • Attend industry events and follow up with potential customers.
  • Maintain excellent customer relations within assigned accounts via email and/or phone.
  • Develop and execute plans to expand customer base.
  • Maintain accurate customer reporting, records, and files.
  • Provide product information and recommendations to customers.
  • Collaborate with internal team members to develop account specific strategies.
  • Achieve/exceed sales goals as outlined by management.
  • Complete ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Commitment to customer service.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and perform under pressure in a team-based environment.
  • Ability to work independently with emphasis on time-management.
  • Inside sales experience is a plus.

Hiring Location: Reston, VA

Salary Range: $42-50k with the potential to earn commissions.
