Job Summary

The Charge Nurse is responsible for the supervision of unit operations/activities and staff for a specific shift.  Demonstrates unit based leadership, excellent communication skills, proficient knowledge and decision-making abilities.  Works closely with Administrative Supervisor, Nurse Manager and Physicians to insure smooth operations of the unit and delivery of quality care.

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.

Minimum Education

Associate's Degree - Bachelor's Preferred

Minimum Experience

1 year - RN

Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses

RN - REGISTERED NURSE - NLRN
