Job Summary

Works with Cardiology Physicians, Clinicians, Providers and Administration to provide support to patients undergoing Rhythm Diagnosis or patients that have been diagnosed with a Cardiac Rhythm Problem and need or have already have a permanent Pacemaker (PPM) or Defibrillator (ICD) device implanted. Coordinate daily functions of the PPM and ICD Clinic(s) by performing device checks in the office or over the phone to ensure device function is within recommended parameters as prescribed by the attending / implanting Cardiologist or Electrophysiologist, and reprograms devices accordingly. Collaborates with Cardiologist or Electrophysiologist on the device and its place in the patient's total treatment plan. Also, Applies and Interprets Monitoring via telephone, Remote Telemetry or in the office as ordered by the Cardiologist or Electrophysiologist for patients undergoing Diagnostic Testing of Cardiac Rhythms.

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.

Minimum Education

Post high school education up to 18 months - Graduate of an accredited Cardiac Device School

Minimum Experience

No previous experience

In lieu of the Above Minimum Requirements

In lieu of graduate of accredited Cardiac Device School: Post high school education in allied health or nursing field and 2 years of cardiac device management and function experience.

Other Required Experience

International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) certification - Preferred
