Job Description

Marketing & Events Assistant

Greeley Tribune has a great opportunity for a motivated marketing professional to support audience & consumer revenue marketing projects. The Marketing & Events Assistant will be responsible in helping to develop and execute innovative marketing campaigns across The Tribune brands, from planning through implementation, optimization and measurement of impact. Additionally, this individual will work directly with the Events Manager to continue to produce top-level events and grow revenue while watching expenses.

Candidate requirements: Minimum of 2 years marketing experience essential, with social media skills.Solid project management & communication skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

1. Manage all internal communication and internal marketing.  

2. Complete administrative tasks for the publisher as needed.

3. Participate as a key member of all employee committees. 

4. Assist the Event Manager with all events.

5. Find innovative ways to connect with target audiences, both consumers and internal audiences. 

6. Manages campaigns, from planning through implementation, optimization and measurement of impact for our company’s brands.

7. Understands key audiences and drives the correct marketing solutions. 

             a. Monitors metrics and analyzes effectiveness of approaches. 

8. Works directly with the Marketing Director to plan and execute consumer marketing campaigns and internal employee communications. 

9. Collaborates with a wide variety of functional areas, including but not limited to the Ad Services, Content Creation, Delivery Service, HR, and Sales to execute specific marketing plans.  

10. Develops and maintains contacts and leverages appropriate external partnerships to maximize marketing opportunities.  

11. Represents GT at community events.

12. Project Management: Oversee operational tasks tied to marketing in-house publications, events, contests and promotions or marketing efforts, consumer facing.

In addition to these responsibilities, performs other activities as assigned.
