Greeley Tribune

The Greeley Tribune, one of the oldest newspapers in the state, was established in 1870, the same year that the city of Greeley was founded. Nathan Meeker, the man who brought hundreds of settlers to start the new city of Greeley was also the publisher of the Tribune. In the 130-year history of the city and newspaper, the Tribune has established itself as a community leader, helping to promote growth, development, community pride and in the 1930s, 40s and 50s publisher Charles Hansen was instrumental in bringing water from the western slope to Greeley and the farmlands of northeastern Colorado.
