Position Description

Marketing is critical to Gamut’s success. We need to make intelligent, data-driven decisions to attract and retain customers. As the Marketing Analytics Lead on Gamut’s Analytics team, you will:

  • use statistical measurement and analysis techniques to quantify the impact of Gamut marketing across multiple channels (digital display, paid search, direct mail, etc.);
  • refine our marketing optimization strategy to maximize ROAS (return on ad spend) and repurchase rate;
  • implement automated campaign management and optimization using Python/R and SQL.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • developing statistical models to predict advertising performance,
  • planning, executing, and effectively communicating the results of ad hoc database analyses,
  • understanding the factors that drive our advertising return and finding opportunities to improve it,
  • writing code to extract data, conduct analysis, and run optimization algorithms,
  • using machine learning techniques to recommend relevant marketing messages,
  • troubleshooting marketing-related issues (such as poor or unexpected performance),
  • recommending content, experimental design, and measurement of marketing campaigns.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in statistics, economics, mathematics or related field required; Masters’ or graduate degree preferred
  • 5+ years’ relevant work experience required
  • Deep knowledge of database design and logic (SQL)
  • Ability to do data transformation and analysis in Python, R, or other programming language
  • Knowledge of linear regression, logistic regression, cluster analysis, and other statistical techniques
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong business judgment
  • Outstanding analytical skills
  • Intellectual curiosity
  • Outstanding and proven project management skills – ability to manage multiple projects in a high-pressure, tight-deadline environment
  • Experience in direct marketing analytical techniques preferred
