  • Associate's degree and/or equivalent experience in large commercial property maintenance, repair and operations.
  • Five -10 years’ experience in:
    • Operating large scale DC and associated equipment.
    • Building management systems
    • Supervising staff and consultants
    • Maintaining Automated Material Handling Equipment.
    • Basic computer operation
    • Enforcing standards through informal authority
    • Establishing and completing projects by deadlines
    • Project management
  • Knowledge of Industrial Material Handling Equipment, I/O device network systems ie. Profibus/CanBus/Ethernet, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Motor controls/Drives, and Power Distribution Systems.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to listen and translate diverse information and points of view into cohesive solutions.
  • Self motivated, ability to work with minimal supervision, and highly organized.
  • Ability to lead and prioritize workloads for staff of 10-30 technicians.
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office, BAS (building automation systems), Fire Protection systems, and Local Building Codes.
  • Working knowledge of forecast and budget process.

Position Description

The person chosen for this role will be responsible for overseeing the daily operation, maintenance, and repair of a Distribution Center. This position will be actively involved in directing and communicating technical and operational solutions in a team environment for systems such as electrical distribution, back-up generator, lighting, HVAC, powered industrial equipment(PIE), conveyors/sorters, MultiShuttle/Goods to Person System, building management, plumbing, etc. Facilitate planned maintenance work-load profiles, capture accurate maintenance costs, and ensure proper tracking of assets by using a Computerized Maintenance Management Software. Respond appropriately to all maintenance requests. Supervise service providers, as required, and a staff of approximately 10-30 technicians. Mentor those assigned, while providing hands on experience with maintaining all building systems in order to support the goals of the business. Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs and repairs to building envelope and building MEP (Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing) systems
