In this newly created role, you will build the foundation for Imperial’s vending program and assist in analyzing, managing and developing processes for other custom services like kitting and assortments.

 

The Product Service Manager will:

  • Manage the Custom Kit building processes by forecasting increases in demand of component items; following up with Buyers on critical items as necessary; communicating necessary information such as ETAs of builds to inside sellers; scheduling/prioritizing the weekly build cycles at all DC’s.
  • Assist the Asset Manager with the review of the daily assortment schedules at all distribution centers and releases build based on demand, available component products, and labor resources.  Work cross functionally to prioritize assortment builds and support key customer initiatives and new shop setups.
  • Work with Purchasing to identify and procure component products for upcoming assortment and custom kit needs based on monthly forecasts and information provided from customers.
  • Provide assistance in support of the Asset Manager in analyzing and making recommendations on projects involving large-scale customer or distribution center activities.   
  • Develop, manage and maintain the Imperial Vending Program.  Work cross functionally and engage resources as required for replenishment, reporting, systems, Grainger, customer, and sales.  Maintain constant pressure for vending program process improvement in all aforementioned areas
  • Support Sales Teams with vending-related solutions to include VMI / CMI, vending and report management.  10% overnight travel required for customer facing interaction in support of selling/implementing a vending program.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business and 2 years of experience in operations or product management environment or equivalent work experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree and 4 or more years of experience in distribution business office setting and  vending program management experience preferred.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.  Ability to work with automated purchase order systems, Excel spreadsheets, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Word or office writing software.  Knowledge of PC systems.  Ability to work under deadlines and with multiple task assignments.
