Imperial National Account Executives partner with our top 250 accounts to develop customized programs and solutions for cost savings and inventory control.


We execute a strategic sales process by working cross-functionally with Inside Sales, Pricing, Product Management, and Purchasing departments to strengthen current customer relationships.


This Outside Sales position requires 45-50% overnight travel to meet with key customers' contacts to review past activities, achieved results, obtained customer feedback concerning products and services, and present planned activities concerning national account sales goals.

  • Manage large National accounts to meet or exceed annual revenue budgets and operates within annual expense budgets.
  • Defend Imperial's position as a strategic partner with economic buyers within National accounts. Engage in continuous communication, analyze/identify needs and present opportunities for cost savings and inventory control.  
  • Maintain partnerships with various decision makers within National customers. Develop, implement, and communicate sales plans. Ensure proper support of account activity. Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction with developed customers and test shops.
  • Collaborate with Marketing department regarding new products, sales promotions, pricing, new and existing market leads, as well as our competitors' sales strategies and offerings.
  • Analyze customer activity and sales data. Identify trends to defend, maintain and grow National accounts. Work cross-functionally with Inside Sales and relevant departments on related projects.
  • Document and maintain records for each customer and major opportunity.
  • Assist in the development of an annual sales and expense budget. Monitor variances and reporting trends.


MINIMUM EDUCATION: Associate Degree or equivalent work experience.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Three years experience in B2B sales

PREFERRED EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree, knowledge of strategic/solution driven sales process

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Three years of top-down, outside sales experience with large accounts in a similar industry

SKILLS:  Effective verbal and written communication skills, project management and prioritization skills required. Ability to work within a team concept selling environment. Strong computer skills including manipulation of data in Excel. Polished presentation skills.
