The eCommerce Specialist will support Imperial's digital roadmap and initiatives including the website, mobile apps, and other channels.

  • Conduct internal and external customer usability testing including creation of surveys, monitoring/reporting on competitive digital strategies, and analyzing customer experience.
  • Create Product Documentation including requirements gathering, communication and technical requirements. Provide the team with clear information regarding who the end user is and: how, when, and why they use the product or service. What is the vision, objectives and intended ROI behind the enhancement, initiatives and platforms being proposed for development. Establish success criteria for key product features using meaningful metrics.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to define and prioritize the product backlog and product roadmap. Attend all required Scrum meetings including: daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint review. Hold team accountable to their commitments and accept or reject the Scrum teams work at the close of each sprint. Collaborate closely with developers during sprints. Clarify requirements and make timely decisions on execution details.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve site issues. Collaborate with website developers to incorporate optimization modifications to the customer website purchasing journey for the purpose of driving online sales. Partner with IT team to ensure technical capabilities for marketing executions are properly implemented.
  • Optimize landing pages and user funnels. Help create a user-friendly experience via multiple digital channels for the Imperial customer.
  • Understand and report and make recommendations on digital campaigns and products. Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns vs goals (ROI and KPIs).
  • Communicate clearly and often with the Scrum team, collaborate with the design teams, and be prepared to train internal support teams on new releases.

 

Requirements

  • Associates degree in Marketing with 2+ years of direct experience in digital efforts across multiple marketing channels, Experience with Google Analytics and familiarity with common web and eCommerce concepts, tools and techniques. Experience in a technology environment, participating in software development, business process analysis, requirements gathering or project management required

 

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, exposure to Agile environment preferred. Strong preference for candidates with experience using Jira, Confluence, wire framing, A/B and multivariate testing, SEO, HTML, CSS, and Java.
