From AdWords to Chrome, Android to YouTube, Social to Local, Google engineers are changing the world one technological achievement after another. ## Responsibilities * Develop robust high-volume web-based and mobile (Android/iOS) applications, including back-end and front-end. Develop new prototypes and experiments quickly. * Build our platforms and large scale infrastructure, using your strong background in distributed systems, OS/kernel, network, and large scale storage systems. * Develop new algorithms and systems backing user facing products, using techniques like data mining, machine learning, natural language processing, large scale data processing, optimization, etc. ## Qualifications Minimum qualifications: * BA/BS in Computer Science, related technical field or equivalent practical experience. * Experience programming in C++ and/or Java. * Experience in computer science, data structures, algorithms and software design. Preferred qualifications: * MS or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field. * Skills in modern web development, Python or JavaScript, database design, SQL and/or knowledge of TCP/IP and network programming. * Strong object-oriented skills. * * * At Google, we don't just accept difference - we celebrate it, we support it, and we thrive on it for the benefit of our employees, our products and our community.
