If you answered yes to all these questions then we want you to join our team! We are looking for a dynamic and compassionate Weekend Receptionist to join our team. The Receptionist answers telephone calls and receives visitors and with a professional and courteous demeanor and with strict adherence to confidentiality.

Reports to: ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGER, RESIDENTIAL ADMINISTRATION

Location: 337 E. 17th Street, New York, New York 10003

Hours: 14 Hours/Week; Non- Exempt Saturday and Sunday 3pm to 11pm

Major Duties:

* Plan the daily functions of the group life experience including: scheduling of participants' family activities, tutoring, recreation, and special activities for evenings or weekends as appropriate.


* Monitor participants' school performance, including homework assistance and tutoring.


* Supervise and record participant medical needs and follow-up on recommendations.


* Attend teacher/social worker update meetings.


* Maintain logs of critical events and home visits.


* Write quarterly reports for presentation at staff meetings.


* Attend all appropriate meetings and trainings.


* Help participants explore vocational options, i.e. post-High School training, preparation for independent living, etc.


* Engage participants in a range of program activities including recreational activities, which


* include physical interaction.


* Perform other duties as assigned.



Qualifications:

* High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.


* Must have excellent written, organizational, and prioritization skills.


* Ability to transition easily between working independently with a high degree of self-initiative and contributing as part of a team.


* Ability to perform physical restraint of youth using approved restraint procedures.


* Must be able to successfully complete state mandated crisis intervention training.


* Valid Driver's License preferred.


* Must have a commitment to work from a strength-based and/or youth development perspective.
