Job Summary: The Maintenance Mechanic provides a safe and comfortable operating environment through the installation, repair and performing of preventive maintenance on equipment and utility systems. Provide repairs and maintenance on building components. General maintenance knowledge in carpentry, basic plumbing and understanding of door hardware to include locks, latching devices, and door openers. Should have the ability to logically evaluate and troubleshoot maintenance situations involving basic electric and HVAC.

Preferred Qualifications and Minimum Requirements:

* 3 or more years of related maintenance mechanic experience required.
* High School Graduate or GED preferred.
* Infection Control Risk (ICRA) and Interim Life Safety Measures (ILSM) preferred.
* Technical or Vocational training desired.
* Ability to perform welding and brazing on various metals preferred.
* Ability to operate machine shop equipment preferred.
* Must exercise skill and resourcefulness in locating and correcting mechanical, plumbing and electrical malfunctions in various type of equipment.

License/Certifications: Must possess a valid and insurable Pennsylvania driver's license.
