Job Responsibilities:
The GTA Office has an immediate opening for an Intermediate Hydrogeologist/Geo-Environmental Engineer in our Mississisauga offices. In this role, you will work jointly within our Geoscience Group, which consist of hydrogeologists, engineers, environmental scientists and field technicians.

Responsibilities may include but will not be limited to:
* Preparing and/or reviewing detailed work scopes, cost estimates for physical hydrogeology -related proposals;
* Developing, planning, managing and reporting on hydrogeological field investigation programs that may include: drilling, test pitting, soil sampling, rock coring, monitoring well installation, single and multi-well aquifer testing, infiltration rate testing, groundwater, surface water and landfill gas sampling;
* Interpreting and reporting on hydrogeological conditions, conceptual site models, migration of impacts, groundwater-surface water interaction, and assessing the need for modifications to monitoring programs;
* Project management and reporting of hydrogeological assessments for: a variety of land development projects including construction dewatering, water supply, water balance, and impact assessments; and a variety of municipal related projects including compliance monitoring, annual monitoring reports;
* Project management including project staffing, project development and implementation, technical guidance, budget tracking, invoicing, and QA/QC in conformance with internal procedures and standards;
* Regular interaction with clients to develop new opportunities, and to discuss project status, invoicing, data collection, interpretation, recommendations and compliance issues;
* Working with municipal and provincial governments and other agencies to establish submission requirements, compliance reporting and obtain approvals for Permits to Take Water and Environmental Compliance Approvals;
* Following safe work practices in accordance with our site specific Health & Safety plans.

Job Requirements:
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
* Master's degree in Geology/Hydrogeology, Environmental Engineering or Civil Engineering with Geo-Environmental Specialty, with demonstrated course work or thesis in physical hydrogeology and geochemistry.
* Licenced as a Professional Engineer or Professional Geoscientist in the Province of Ontario (or equivalent).
* At least five years of experience preferably with direct experience in the regulatory environment in Ontario.
* Demonstrated ability to scope and manage small to medium size projects.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills. A sample of the candidates technical report writing would be beneficial to include with resume submission.
* Ability to lead small teams, work under the supervision of more senior staff, and work independently.
* Excellent organizational and time management abilities;
* Consistent attention to detail and strong technical writing skills; and
* Willing to work outdoors and travel to project sites using own vehicle.
