Golder Associates Ltd. is currently seeking a Junior Pipeline Engineer to work out of our Walnut Creek, CA office. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated recent graduate who would have the following responsibilities:
* Pipe friction loss calculations and pipe sizing, material selection and specification;
* Perform engineering to specify and size pipeline equipment including pumps, control valves, regulators, relief valves, pipe and other associated process equipment
* Prepare engineering drawings packages including PIDs, piping plans, sections and details, pipeline alignment sheets for design efforts of oil, gas, slurry, tailings and other pipeline system projects
* Preparation of technical documents.

Job Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will have the following:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, civil or chemical engineering from an accredited institution;
* Registration or ability to register as an Engineer-In-Training (EIT);
* Co-op experience in an industrial plant environment or an engineering service/consulting company will be considered an asset;
* Familiar with 49CFR part 192, ASME B31.8, ISA standards
* Familiar with design software such as MicroStation, AutoCAD
* Strong MS Office-Excel skills;
* Solid organization and time management abilities;
* Strong interpersonal skills combined with a positive, team-oriented attitude;
* High level of personal integrity with a strong work ethic;
* Willingness to travel as dictated by project demands
* Pass a pre-employment physical including a drug screening and background check
* Authorization to work in the United States
