Job Responsibilities:
Golder's Vancouver office has an immediate opening for a Project Controller/Scheduler. This full time, salaried position will require taking on a central role in assisting with the overall coordination and functioning of projects, supporting our busy team of project managers and site staff in the efficient management of our projects.

* Providing project specific support - scheduling and coordinating project controls;
* Data coordination with the use of Excel spreadsheets and macro enabled Excel workbooks;
* Liaison with subcontractors and suppliers and providing assistance with the preparation of subcontractor agreements;
* Project specific invoice preparation and submission to clients;
* Developing, tracking and communicating project schedules to support Project Managers and technical teams;
* Collection, input, management and presentation of project cost tracking data;
* Managing various forms of confidential information;
* Working with various Project Managers, as needed;
* Liaising with other personnel within Golder locally, nationally, and internationally.

Job Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
* A minimum bachelor's degree (or equivalent).
* 3 to 6 years of relevant experience with a proven track record for delivering project controls on scope, schedule, and budget.
* Proven working experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, etc.), Primavera (P6), Adobe Acrobat, SharePoint, and cloud based programs and technology.
* PMP designation or ability to acquire this designation would be considered to have an advantage.
* Previous work experience of working within the consulting engineering environment or mining industry would be an advantage.

In addition, preferred candidates will possess the following qualities and strengths:
* Excellent organizational skills (prioritizing, time management, record keeping, follow up, etc.);
* Excellent communication skills (verbal, listening, speaking and writing) and a friendly, pleasant manner;
* Excellent English communication (oral and written);
* Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy;
* Notion of quality processes as part of our business systems;
* Strong team player, self-motivated, proactive thinker, flexible and adaptable;
* Demonstrable initiative, resourcefulness and overall good judgement;
* A problem solver with the ability to identify and implement alternative solutions;
* Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization, exhibiting discretion (e.g. human resources), diplomacy and tact;
* Must be able to meet tight deadlines, manage conflicting priorities, and work well under pressure in a rapidly changing environment.
