Golder Associates Inc. is currently seeking a full-time entry-level Geologist for the Redmond, Washington location. The selected candidate will work in project teams to support geologic and geotechnical investigation programs throughout the Pacific Northwest, US, and Canada. You will support geotechnical investigations for building and infrastructure projects and conduct geologic hazard investigations.

Your primary responsibilities will include:
* Perform geologic field reconnaissance and mapping for the identification of geologic hazards;
* Perform subsurface field geologic exploration tasks including drilling and test pit explorations;
* interpretation of subsurface conditions and preparation of exploration records;
* Install monitoring wells for groundwater sampling and water level readings;
* Install and collect data from monitoring instrumentation;
* Perform data compilation and report writing and other related duties to support project teams;
* Office work will include GIS data analysis and management, geologic research and project proposal writing.

Job Requirements:
The preferred candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
* Must possess a minimum MS in Geology, Engineering Geology, or Geological Engineering;
* Prior geology work experience not required but preferred;
* Demonstrate competence in understanding geomorphology and surface processes;
* Demonstrated experience and proficiency using GIS to identify geologic hazards using remote sensing data (Lidar and aerial imagery);
* Candidates must be willing to work in the field conducting physically rigorous field geologic data collection in a variety of terrain and weather conditions;
* Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.;
* Must have excellent communication and writing skills, with demonstrated report writing skills;
* Must be available to start immediately.
