Job Responsibilities:
Golder Construction Inc. is a company providing specialized contracting services for ground engineering, environmental remediation, water resource and mining projects. Since its inception in 1997, Golder Construction has expanded its operations across Canada and has developed a dedicated team of highly motivated individuals.
To support our growth we are currently seeking a Site Supervisor to be based out of our Vancouver operations. The position will include involvement with delivering technically challenging ground engineering, mining, water resource and environmental remediation projects. Travel and willingness to work out-of-town on a rotational basis on assignments is a requirement of the position.
Duties of this role will include but not be limited to:
* Construction supervision and project administration including management of project cost control and direction and supervision of subcontractors;
* Assist with management and coordination of the design and construction aspects of geotechnical, mining water resource, and environmental remediation projects;
* Participate in Golder Constructions' Health and Safety program and monitor the Health and Safety performance of subcontractors;
* Co-ordinate and liaison with client, subcontractors and specialist consulting engineers;
* Implement site administration and record-keeping procedures; and
* Assist with construction estimating, scheduling, cost control and reporting.
Job Requirements:
Preferred candidates will possess the following skills:
* A proven track record of at least 5 years of relevant construction work experience;
* Ability to manage resources and schedule;
* Understanding of requirements to work around heavy equipment and participation in a construction health and safety program;
* Highly motivated;
* Available for travel and extended working hours, including work on out-of-town project requiring rotational assignments.
