Job Responsibilities:
Golder Associates is seeking an Environmental and Social Impact Assessment Specialist to join our Mississauga operations.

Delivery of a variety of ESIA's to our clients is a major and rapidly growing service within Golder. We are looking for highly successful, enthusiastic, ambitious people who share in our values to join our team. The successful candidate will manage Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) studies and help prepare ESIA reports. In this role you will have opportunities to work on fun, diverse, and challenging projects.

The work would involve the following:
* Project leadership as project manager or ESIA Specialist on a variety of ESIAs across multiple sectors;
* Technical leadership in managing, writing and reviewing ESIA reports and related deliverables;
* People leadership in coordinating and communicating with multi-disciplinary technical teams, and mentoring junior staff on projects and in a career development context;
* Client leadership in providing guidance to clients on requirements relating to ESIAs and managing client expectations;
* Building strong, lasting relationships with clients, and developing new business opportunities;
* Ensuring that high-quality deliverables are provided within budget and on schedule;

Job Requirements:
We expect successful candidates will require:
* A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a related field (environmental sciences, environmental planning, resource management);
* A minimum 5-10 years' experience in planning, managing and completing ESIAs;
* A minimum 2-3 years' experience as project manager or ESIA Specialist on complex ESIAs;
* Highly effective organizational, oral and written communication and project management abilities;
* A strong understanding of the Canadian or Provincial environmental impact assessment legislation (e.g., the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act, 2012);
* Experience coordinating applications for environmental permitting and approvals, and a dealing successfully with regulatory authorities;
* Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and mentoring employees
* Ability to function in a team setting, accept responsibility and work to deadlines;

Additional assets include:
* A successful track record of marketing consulting services;
* A Master's degree in an environmental assessment-related capacity;
* A valid driver's license; and,
* Bilingualism.
