Golder Associates Inc. is currently seeking a Global Lead, HRIS & HR Systems.

This position is open to any key Golder location in North America including Mississauga, Calgary, Vancouver, Redmond, Denver, Atlanta, or Mount Laurel. May consider applicants outside of North America, but North America is preferred..

This individual is responsible to lead the Global HRIS & HR systems team. The primary function of the role is to ensure that the Oracle HCM/HRIS deployment is done globally both for core HR and supporting modules, and ensures that business systems and payrolls are integrated to HCM/HRIS for maximum efficiency. Ensures compliance with privacy and related legislation. Works with internal BIS resources to deploy the system as quickly as possible, and that the system is available at or near 24/7/365 for global use.

In addition to CoE duties, this individual is a member of the Global HR Team and contributes to overall global HR strategy through regular attendance at online meetings or periodic attendance at in person meetings held by the CHRO. In this area, the individual both represents their own knowledge base (best practice) but also sees the big picture in terms of HR globally at Golder. This individual may contribute time and effort to global HR projects, and is accountable to the CHRO to ensure that global HR standards, where applicable, are communicated and implemented globally.

This role is a balance between strategic thought leadership as well as a hands-on tactical role focused on delivery of a globally aligned strategic HR tools to be used by the leadership towards overall business success.

Role Duties:

Human Resources Information Systems:
* Champions Global HCM/HRIS rollout and implementation within the Golder enterprise, including the communication and training to end users (HR, employee, manager)
* Aligns HCM/HRIS implementation and HR operations services approach to overall Golder and Global HR strategy
* Evolves HCM/HRIS strategy over time in conjunction with Golder and Global HR strategy through ongoing interactions and discussions with business leadership about process improvement, workforce planning and other areas where technology can be leveraged towards business success
* Monitors and reports back on system performance and ensures that user acceptance and satisfaction is regularly measured and where necessary, improved
* Ensures that accountabilities are in place regarding data integrity within the HCM/HRIS system, i.e. that data is maintained as current within the system, that we have an audit trail functionality, and that user roles are well defined and clear.
* Ensures that functional modules (recruitment, performance, succession, talent, LMS, compensation, mobility, self service, benefits etc.) within the HCM/HRIS are deployed on schedule and that proper communications and training is in place to ensure HR, staff and leadership adoption and use.
* Facilitates and participates in all scoping exercises related to the HCM/HRIS.
* Ensures that relationship with BIS and related vendors is efficient and support is responsive and capable.
* With BIS, oversees the decommissioning of other, legacy HR related technology tools.
* Manages HCM/HRIS related projects with team, and develops a framework for considering configuration changes requested by users, but drives out of the box best practices as the steady-state of the system, i.e. no customization and configuration only where legally required.
* Manages relationships with business stakeholders inside and outside of HR to ensure that the HCM/HRIS is serving business needs, and where necessary, understanding where the HR technology can be leveraged to better serve business needs
* Champions self service usage of HCM/HRIS with leaders and employees.
* Working with the BIS team, ensures that security around and within the system meets professional standards and expectations, and that confidentiality and privacy issues are covered.
* Ensures compliance with global privacy legislation in applicable regions, working in alignment with BIS team and legal team on this item
* Ensures that systems integrations with payroll, business systems and other vendor systems is working efficiently and effectively. May be actively involved in these systems conversions and/or integrations as needed.
* Develops overall KPI's and metrics to determine success of HCM/HRIS deployment, i.e. self service usage, compliance with usage of modules, etc.
* Develops and manages overall budget and cost structure (with BIS) for HCM/HRIS and related team support.
* Communicates the value proposition of global HCM/HRIS to the staff and leadership.
* Manages specialist team of HR systems support staff
* Stays abreast of latest technology advancements in HR technologies and shares this info, works on HR service innovation with CHRO
* Leverages and integrates mobile technologies into HCM/HRIS
* Manages the performance and succession within HR systems team

Global HR and General Expectations:
* Serves as member of Global HR Team contributing to overall HR strategy, and this may include time and effort on global HR projects and programs.
* Maintains high ethical standards and compliance with the Golder Code of Conduct, other governance policies and local laws.
* Serves as "as-needed' liaison with local leadership and communications hub for Global HR
* Maintains absolute confidentiality of information relating to sensitive HR matters.
* As determined, additional specific duties or projects as assigned.
* Champions single, harmonized, best practice processes globally

Reporting structure:

Serves as individual contributor and directly leads a small team of specialists from the base location. In addition, any super-users imbedded with the regions are functionally accountable to this role.

Job Requirements:
Key skills:
* Knowledge of the Golder organization both geographically and services within regions and/or experience within the engineering industry (civil / environmental engineering)
* Experience, education & credentials which demonstrate commitment to professional HR/IT career
* Subject matter expertise, demonstrated through experience, including but not limited to:
* Oracle HCM Cloud solution (preferred) or other Tier 1 Global HCM cloud-based system
* Prior experience working with an outsourced IT support and implementation organization who acts as a partner to your business
* Experience working in Iterative IT project management delivery methodologies
* Systems integrations with other business systems and payroll processors
* Privacy standards relating to electronic data and/or data crossing borders
* Self service capabilities for managers and employees
* Translating HR technologies to deliver value added business results
* Excellent communications skills, both orally and in writing
* Experience in organizational management and strategy development and implementation
* Ability to negotiate and influence outcomes with others, both internally and externally
* Ability to coordinate and manage projects; high attention to detail; ability to implement global standards
* Availability to periodically travel within region or globally as needed, or communicate during non-business hours
