Job Responsibilities:
Golder Associates Inc. is currently seeking a junior Hydrogeologist/Water Resources Engineer to assist in the application of numerical models to a variety of engineering projects in the mining and environmental sectors. This dynamic and self motivated person will be involved in all aspects of conceptual and numerical model development from data acquisition and processing, implementation and application, post-processing and 3D visualization of model results and final reporting.

The successful candidate will be expected to become familiar with a wide variety of modelling tools currently in use at Golder, including MODFLOW, FEFLOW and HydroGeoSphere as well as support software such as Excel, Access, Surfer, Tecplot, GoldSim, Leapfrog, etc.

Job Requirements:
The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in engineering or equivalent as a minimum, with primary skills and experience in Water Resources/Geological Engineering and/or Hydrogeology. It is expected that you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, good interpersonal skills, strong analytical and problem solving skills and previous groundwater modelling experience. Strong understanding in surface water/groundwater interactions and unsaturated zone hydrogeology, including specific experience in the application of coupled groundwater/surface water models (in particular HydroGeoSphere) would be ideal.

A knowledge of a programming language such as Visual Basic, C++ or Fortran would also be beneficial.
