Job Description

GLOBALFOUNDRIES has a 2019 Internship Position available at the Burlington Vermont site for an engineer to work in a manufacturing engineering organization the supports the Factory daily operations. GLOBALFOUNDRIES manufactures a wide variety of Foundry semiconductor products.

The intern position will be working with a team on converting an existing test program to a new structure that will allow for greater flexibility in execution. It will include verification of the test program's execution and test optimization (speed). This project work will involve an understanding of how a test program's measurements are made and used to determine pass/fail.

This position is for a candidate that will graduate and be ready to enter the workforce within the next two years. This candidate must be enrolled in a BS/MS in Mechanical Eng, Chemical Eng, Electrical Eng, Materials Science, Solid State Physics or other relevant engineering discipline.

Required Qualifications:

* Currently Enrolled in an Accredited College and or University in Bachelor's Program - Majoring in Engineering, Materials Science or Solid State Physics.


* Strong Academic Standing


* Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)



Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience using Google collaboration tools


* Microsoft Excel Knowledge


* Prior semiconductor experience


* Experience with Peal programming language.


* Strong Written & Verbal Communications Skills


* Attention to Detail


* Self-Motivated, able to take ownership of assignments, develop work plans and proactively seek feedback to ensure objective are aligned and met


* Team player, able to succeed in a dynamic, fast paced environment


* Travel - none required
