Senior Pool Maintenance Technician $65,000 - $75,000/year • Previous Pool and/or Water Treatment Experience Required • Full Benefits Including Health, Dental, Vision & 401(K) > Free Year-round Pool Pass Included

The Senior Pool Maintenance Technician works alongside the Pool Maintenance Manager and Assistant Manager to ensure the mechanical integrity and proper functioning of all water processing and pool equipment including but not limited to pool walls and flooring, pumps, piping, valves, process controllers, ozonation and chlorination equipment, sensors and alarms, glycol systems, filtration systems, attraction and feature circuitry, and lighting.  

CERTIFICATIONS:

Candidate should have or be eligible to obtain the following certifications:

  • AFO - Aquatics Facility Operator
  • CPO - Certified Pool Operator (if not certified with the State of CO, will need to be certified).
  • Class A, B, C, or D Certification
  • Wastewater certification preferred  

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Candidate should be highly experienced in the Installation, assessment, repair and maintenance of complex pool and water attraction components including the following:
  • High-rate sand filters and filtration systems
  • Varied and complex mechanical pump repairs
  • Water chemistry assessment and adjustment
  • Water feature and attractions functions
  • Adequate computer skills to be able to perform necessary department computer tasks (such as logging maintenance activities, inputting time records, inputting preventative maintenance, and service information).
  • Supervisory skill experience
  • Business management skills, including planning, budgeting, organizing, and financial controls
  • 3-5 years of experience in maintaining a large public pool or equivalent background in water chemistry.

Candidate should have strong leadership skills:

  • Able to supervise and give instruction
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to manage and juggle many tasks

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Adequate physical agility to traverse the entire pool area for inspection, including climbing stairs.
  • Adequate physical agility to perform normal maintenance activities such as climbing ladders, kneeling, reaching, lifting, using hand tools, power tools, and motorized equipment, and measuring devices.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing and follow verbal or written instructions.

AUTHORITY:

The Senior Pool Maintenance Technician has the support and authority necessary to carry out the responsibilities and tasks described in this job description and to act on behalf of the Pool Maintenance Manager to ensure exceptional performance of all Pool Maintenance staff.

REPORTING & ACCOUNTABILITY:

The Senior Pool Maintenance Technician reports to, and is accountable to, the Pool Maintenance Manager.

WORK HOURS & DAYS:

The Pool hours of operation are - 7:00 am – 9:00 pm, 7 days per week, and may fluctuate seasonally. The Senior Pool Maintenance Technician must be available to work shifts dependent on the needs of the business, including early mornings, weekends, evenings, holidays and overnight (3rd shift). The selected candidate must be flexible and adaptable to seasonal and other variations in business, as well as available on an on-call basis when needed.
