Hospital Chief Nursing Office
The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) is a key member of the hospital leadership team responsible for overseeing all aspects of nursing operations in the inpatient and outpatient hospital settings. The CNO will be responsible for the development and implementation of nursing policies, procedures, and programs to ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety are achieved. The CNO will provide strategic leadership and direction to nursing staff, ensuring a high level of professional practice and quality patient care.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement nursing care strategies, policies, and programs in accordance with the hospital's mission, vision, and values.
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, administrators, and clinical leaders to improve patient care and outcomes.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including state and federal regulations, and maintain accreditation standards.
* Manage the nursing department, including recruiting, training, and evaluating nursing staff, and ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet patient needs.
* Develop and manage nursing budgets, including staffing and supply costs, and monitor expenses to ensure fiscal responsibility.
* Ensure effective communication and collaboration between nursing staff and other hospital departments to facilitate high-quality patient care.
* Monitor and analyze nursing performance metrics, such as patient satisfaction, nurse turnover, and quality outcomes, to identify areas for improvement.
* Promote professional development and education opportunities for nursing staff to improve patient care and professional growth.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.
* A current nursing license is required.
* 5-10 years of progressive nursing operations and leadership experience and success within acute care/hospital settings.
