Job Description

Job Summary: Located in our Newington, CT facility, this role will be responsible for providing general office support with a variety of clerical activities, including administrative tasks for the Senior Management team.

Key Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities:

* Professionally administer all incoming calls, take messages and appropriately direct correspondence.
* Greet all guests/visitors in a professional, friendly, hospitable manner. Ensure all Export Control, Security and Safety sign-in and training requirements are met.
* Support the Senior Management team with administrative tasks including taking meeting notes, typing letters/memos, forms, presentations (includes handling of confidential information).
* Assist the Senior Management team in the management of their schedules and travel arrangements.
* Receive, sort and forward incoming mail.
* Coordinate the pick-up and delivery of express mail services (FedEx, UPS, etc.).
* Responsible for ordering, receiving, stocking and distribution of office supplies.
* Create purchase reqs and orders as directed.
* Handle meal ordering for meetings/gatherings as needed.
* Assist with other related clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing, and filing.
* Type memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents as requested.
* Schedule company-wide use of conference rooms. Assist with meeting needs when requested.
* Provide administrative support across all 3 GKN Aerospace New England facilities when requested.
* Assist in HR administrative duties, projects, events when requested.
* All other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

* High school degree or equivalent.
* 3+ years' experience in related field.
* Must have high level of interpersonal skills. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.
* Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software (MSWord, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
* An energetic forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical and work standards.
* Customer-focused attitude, with high level of professionalism and discretion.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to interact comfortably at all levels in the organization.

Additional Experience:

* Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
* Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple tasks and demands.
* Detail oriented and excellent organizational skills: accuracy is essential.
* Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines.
