The Sales Assistant will assist all members of the Sales department along with the Regional General Manager/ Director of Sales of the region and in daily administrative functions. This includes incoming and outgoing phone calls (answering, re-directing), creating and monitoring sales reports, maintaining records, internal and external correspondence, processing of expenses, coordination of business trips, scheduling of internal and external appointments, meetings and other assigned duties.

Life at GES U.S.


* Assist in the creation of sales contracts and sales proposals using Powerpoint, Word and Excel Octiv.
* Salesforce administration, policy adherence and administration
* Prepare agendas for meetings and prepare schedules for team
* Participate in Sales activities and meetings
* Receive and direct visitors and clients
* Assist with organizing sales events
* Updating the monthly Short Term Booking Pipeline
* Update the Industry Event Calendar found in Salesforce
* Prepare the weekly schedule for Sales Team
* Run many reports out of Salesforce for Sales Managers and others.
* Pull competitor kits from internet and FDC website
* Research Internet for show info, i.e., where show is going, venue, show dates, etc.
* Take the minutes for weekly sales meeting.
* Put booked shows into CORE so Account Managers can start their workbench
* Pull miscellaneous job numbers for miscellaneous events
* Make folder when show sold and turnover to Account Manager



* High School Graduate or GED required
* Three (3) plus years secretarial/clerical experience preferably in the trade show or related industry
* Patient and a willing learner in new systems and tasks


* Experience with Customer Relationship Management tool desirable - Salesforce preferred
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Excellent proof reader
* Excellent planning and organizational skills
* Attention to Detail
* Professionalism
* Willing and open to shared knowledge and training
* Great note taker and able to organize and convey information in writing
* Problem assessment and problem solving
* Flexibility and adaptability
* Proficient computer experience: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint
* Must be able to work in fast paced environment and meet deadlines
* Must be able to seek resolution, solve problems and remain positive in stressful situations
* Must be a self-starter with a cooperative attitude and able to work well with others
* Must be able to work independently using professional judgment in handling multiple tasks
* Must be able to maintain confidentiality

Work Environment

* Ability to sit for extended periods of time in an office chair at a utilizing equiipment.
* Ability to work at a work station, conference table or in a meeting of various configurations
* While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit, walk and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone, use hands repetitively to finger, handle, feel or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms.
