Dean of General Education
Description: Georgia Northwestern Technical College is seeking qualified applicants to serve as Dean of General Education. Will oversee the areas of general education and learning support in a multi-campus environment.
Required qualifications: A master's of arts or science degree or higher from a nationally or regionally accredited college or university in a general education/liberal arts discipline. Minimum of three years of full-time paid work experience as a college or university instructor. Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Preferred qualifications: Ph.D. from a nationally or regionally accredited college or university in a general education/liberal arts discipline. Full-time teaching experience in a college environment. Online teaching experience. Experience in curriculum development, instructional methodology, planning, assessment, evaluation, budgeting, hiring, supervision and management in a college environment. Experience as a SACSCOC reviewer for Academic Affairs areas. Excellent technology and time management skills.

Executive Director of Financial Aid
Floyd County Campus
Georgia Northwestern Technical College is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time Executive Director of Financial Aid. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a high performance environment through positive leadership and teamwork. Primary responsibilities will include coordinating financial aid programs offered by the college and ensuring that the college adheres to all Federal and State regulations; supervising the office of financial aid for all campuses of GNTC; Occasional travel between campuses as well as overnight travel for state and federal updates will be required.
Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, accounting or a related field. Proficiency in the use of Banner or similar student financial aid software. At least three years of experience in an area relevant to administration of educational financial accounting, financial aid, grants, etc.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and a customer service oriented attitude, be proficient in the use of technology in an office environment, and possess the ability to multi-task and work as a team member in a fast paced environment.
A minimum of three years of work experience in a financial aid office at a postsecondary institution in a supervisory capacity. Experience in the use of EDE, EDConnect, SURFER, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.

Fire Science Technology Program
Gordon County Campus
Georgia Northwestern Technical College is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Fire Science Technology Program Instructor/Program Director on the Gordon County Campus. In addition, the successful applicant will advise students in the Fire Science Technology program and participate in institutional activities. Teaching load could include day, evening, and online courses both on and off campus.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or higher in Fire Science or related field and Fire Instructor Level II Certification. Five years full-time paid work experience in-field within the past seven years. Work experience must include the competencies, skills, and knowledge levels included in the Fire Science Technology instructional programs. Excellent communication, management, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Fire Science or related discipline. Post-secondary teaching experience, curriculum development, and program recruitment experience in a two-year college environment. Experience teaching hybrid or online classes using ANGEL or Blackboard LMS software. Excellent technology and classroom management skills and experience in online delivery of course work.
Start Date: Negotiable, prefer no later than May 1, 2013
