The Campus Analyst for HCM Operations is an integral part of the Office of the Provost, Finance & Business Services.

The Office of the Provost, Finance & Business Services is responsible for the overall financial and business administration of the units that report to the Provost, which includes developing the annual Main Campus budget, developing and administering fiscal policies and procedures, and providing guidance to Main Campus units and senior management in support of executive level decisions.

Job Overview

Unit/School Direct Engagement

The Campus Analyst for HCM Operations will serve as the primary resource, as it pertains to HCM related transactions and policies, for a group of Main Campus Support Units and Schools on Main Campus. This includes keying HCM transactions, identifying and predicting needs, educating on policy and process, and routinely communicating with units to keep them updated and abreast of relevant details. This direct engagement is an integral part of the roles support to Main Campus Support Units and Schools.

HCM-Workday Subject Matter Expert (SME)

This position will assess the impacts of changes in GMS design and functionality on HCM business processes inside and outside of GMS, and will work with the GMS core team and/or identify and implement business process changes to mitigate negative operational impacts. This position is also the lead HRC for the Main Campus Business Service Centers and serves as a primary resource for other Main Campus HRCs with respect to processing transactions and University and Main Campus policies regarding payroll and personnel transactions. This position also serves as an HCM resource for Main Campus administrators and responds to data and report requests as needed.

HRC & DA Lead for Main Campus

The Campus Analyst for HCM Operations will support the Director of HCM Planning & Operations in the routine engagement of HR Contacts and Department Administrators throughout Main Campus. This engagement will include communicating updates to policy & procedures, changes affecting HCM business processes in Workday, best practices, and a means of addressing issues/challenges these roles may encounter.

Position Budget Analysis & Management

This position will support the Director of HCM Planning & Operations in maintaining the integrity of position budgets and compensation information at the Main Campus and ensuring compliance to University and Main Campus financial policies and procedures.

Work Interactions

This position works very closely with the Administrative staff of Academic Support Units, Office of Main Campus Academic Appointments, Student Financial Services and other senior members of the Main Campus Finance team of the Office of the Provost.

Supervisory and Reporting Relationships

This position will be an individual contributor and report to the Campus Director, Financial Operations.

Requirements and Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree
* The ideal candidate will have 4 to 5 years of experience in payroll and compensation processing and accounting.
* Some knowledge of Payroll and Compensation policies and practices will be helpful (but not essential).
* Prior knowledge and experience of working with Payroll and Human Capital systems will be an advantage.
* This position requires strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills (both oral and written) and the ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously with little supervision.
