Adjunct Faculty Computational and Data Sciences

The George Mason University Department of Computational and Data Sciences (CDS) in the College of Science is seeking adjunct faculty to teach sections of freshman and sophomore level courses. The Computational and Data Sciences department undergraduate degree is looking for instructors for courses such as: Computing for Scientists, Introduction to Computational and Data Sciences, Modeling and Simulations. Courses are offered in several formats: face-to-face, hybrid and on-line. Instructors are responsible for all aspects of the course delivery, with assistance provided by the department' staff and faculty.

Required Qualifications:

* Successful completion of a Masters degree (minimum) or a PhD degree in a relevant field;
* Appropriate backgrounds in data or computational sciences, with an exemplary teaching experience at the college level; and
* Experience in one of the following programming languages: Matlab, R, or Python.
* Availability to teach during the day time is essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Online teaching experience is preferred and should be emphasized in the candidate's CV.
