Job Description

L3 KEO employs a full spectrum of engineering and manufacturing disciplines to design and build sensor systems for submarines, surface ships, combat vehicles, and other defense platforms. L3 KEO is the US Navy's choice for submarine imaging and surface electro-optical gun directors. The L3 KEO Internship Program is designed to provide intern students with practical work assignments that will supplement their academic training. These assignments will provide interns with opportunities to expand their technical knowledge by exposure to the practical business and technical world, thus qualifying the intern students for more responsible positions upon graduation.

L3 KEO is looking for a summer intern to join the Contracts Team. This exciting position will support the Contracts Team on the delivery of programs and services while learning Contracts practices and principals and develop a working knowledge of Contracts information and process systems.

Functions include:

* Assist in record keeping
* Search the various Gov't websites for RFQ (NECO, DIBBS, EDA...)
* Assist in updating the Contracts Cost Point Desk Book
* Assist in updating Contracts DAPPS, SWI's and SOX Controls
* Assist in Processing Minor orders for Spares and Repairs
* Maintain contracts processes, procedures and supporting documentation.
* Execute small project assignments.
* Adhere to compliance and mandatory requirements.


* Minimum Education Requirement: College student working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Contracts or related field.
* Minimum Grade Point Average: 3.5 or equivalent
* Knowledge of Contracts practices, programs, and services with an interest to pursue the profession.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to prepare clear concise reports
* Highly proficient computer technology capabilities including but not limited to Microsoft Office products
* Exposure to business methods and some minor exposure to legal or regulatory status

Environment/Equipment Used:

* Normal Office Working Conditions
* Microsoft Office Products and other computer programs
* The use of safety equipment (PPE) is required in designated areas

Essential Physical Tasks:

* Must be able to sit or stand for up to nine hours
* Fine motor dexterity
* Hand-eye coordination
* Concentrated mental/visual demand

Must be a student attending an accredited university / college with an interest in law and/or Contracts

Must have the ability to obtain US Secret Clearance
