Job Description

For nearly 50 years, Datron has been a trusted supplier of high performance, full motion antennas for commercial, scientific, and national security applications. At our 9-acre facility in Simi Valley, California, we have complete design, assembly and test capabilities for our large fixed antennas and satcom-on-the-move product lines. We focus on delivering efficient, customized solutions, and strive to provide customers with the highest level of service and responsiveness.

Our customer base includes the scientific and educational communities, foreign and domestic military services, governmental agencies, and the commercial market. Our experienced staff includes but is not limited to Engineering, Operations, Quality Assurance, and Program Management.

This is a hands-on position for an entry-level Electrical Engineer with an interest in electronic circuits and electro-mechanical systems. This position is defined by a broad range of electrical and electronic design activities encompassing power distribution, serial communications, basic servo control applications, troubleshooting and safety considerations.

The engineer will work with the following:

* analog and digital circuit designs

* perform analyses as necessary

* generate block diagrams and schematic diagrams, parts lists, assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and test procedures.

* LI-BP1

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent, or a minimum of 3 years equivalent experience.

In addition, the candidate must possess good written and oral communication skills and proficiency in MS Office products.

A basic knowledge of engineering CAD software such as OrCAD and AutoCAD Lt is desirable.

This position works directly with and supports L3 field technicians.
