BI and Data Analytics Developer

About the role:

The BI and Data Analytics Developer will be responsible for analyzing the existing Data landscape at GM IT and work with key decision makers to solve business problems by preparing, analyzing, and understanding data to deliver insight, predict emerging trends, and provide recommendations to optimize results. They will also play an integral role in creating the next generation platform for Business Intelligence at GM.

BI and Data Analytics developer will be participating throughout the development cycle of project i.e. helping identify right requirements, development, testing, validation and deployment of analytical solutions including visualizations, predictive models, and so on.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Problem solving skills, debugging, troubleshooting, and designing & implementing solutions to solve complex technical issues.
* Knowledge of statistical concepts such as regression, time series, mixed model, Bayesian, clustering, etc., to analyze data and provide insights.
* Basic understanding of statistical programming in a language such as R, SAS, or Python.
* Knowledge of data modeling, databases and data integration.
* ETL tools and technologies.
* Experience with SQL and reporting tools like Power BI, Cognos.
* Familiarity with "big data" and Enterprise Data Warehouse.
* Teamwork and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

* BS in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or related field
* Relevant internship experience desirable
