Sourcing's role is to partner with stakeholders to globally source required goods and services to drive highest value (quality, service, cost, and safety) for General Mills.

Job Overview

As a Sourcing Analyst Intern, you manage an uninterrupted supply of materials and services, implementing strategies designed to offset inflation, globalize our supply chain, and improve our bottom line. You will do this through supply and demand analysis, strategic negotiations, market and industry analysis and category strategies.

* Must be have the ability to complete a 10-week internship from early June- mid August 2020
* The internship program is project based, and drafted off work that our Full Time Analysts do. It is designed to offer a unique opportunity to impact our business through research, analysis, negotiations and strategy creation. We work to match interns with assignments based on educational background, skill set and career interests.

What Will I Do?

As a Sourcing Analyst, you will:

* Lead continuous global and regional process improvement aimed at delivering process excellence within Sourcing.
* Proactively identify process and capabilities ''best practices'' to help General Mills drive savings and efficiencies across the globe
* Work closely with Buying teams to support best-in-class strategic sourcing initiatives
* Complete Analysis of key Sourcing data to identify trends and opportunities

Who Is Qualified To Apply?

* YOU if you're pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Economics or Business (any concentrations e.g. Finance, Marketing, etc.) and have a strong academic record- typically a 3.0 GPA or higher
* We're also seeking individuals with strong interpersonal skills, analytical and decision making skills, entrepreneurial qualities necessary for managing risk and leading change, and a curiosity and passion for learning and continuous improvement
