Job Description

Role Summary:

The HR Specialist will be responsible for supporting HRMs and HR Business Partners (HRBPs) across all HR service categories, guiding employees through various HR requests, and liaising between the local GE business HR team and our HR COEs. This position will also have Site responsibility and will offer experiences in both HR generalist client support and HR specialist areas that may include but not limited to compensation & benefits, HR analytics and/or HR Operations.

Essential Responsibilities:

Provide support to CoreTech & Cyber (CTCR) HR team including: managing the I-9 process for new hires; HR transaction support; interface with HRAC & HRDM; escalate pay & benefits issues; HR Reporting; Org Hierarchy support; data governance - own data quality checks

Support Site Leadership in the Cincinnati office, helping to drive improved employee engagement, community outreach, and university partnerships.

MyTime Administrator; provide training to non-exempt new hires and root cause employee issues

Provide proactive HR client support to a small CTCR client group that may include but not limited to: employee relations intake and resolution, compensation planning, new hire orientation, exit interviews, etc.

Provide employees and managers with an available first point of contact for questions and guidance on HR topics and issues

Participation in HR projects to enhance effectiveness and efficiency of HR processes and operations as needed (AAP, Work Day Implementation, etc.)

Provide wing-to-wing support of staffing process including: job postings, engagement calls, interviewing, candidate disposition, e-offer, onboarding

Partner with local leaders to manage CTCR-Cincinnati Intern Program

Assist with other HR special projects or initiatives as needed.

Maintain and protect confidential data with utmost scrutiny, judgment, and care.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Basic Qualifications

BS/BA degree in Human Resources/Industrial/Labor Relations/Business. 2 years of experience in HR.

Eligibility Requirements

Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. GE will not agree to sponsor an individuals' employment visa, now or in the future, for this role.

Willing to work out of an office located in Cincinnati, OH

Desired Characteristics:

Previous Experience in HRIS or HR practices

Knowledge of Human Resource Information Systems - Workday knowledge a plus!

Experience providing direct client support on topics such as performance management, compensation planning, hiring processes, etc.

Experience supporting the software / tech industry

Effective team player with a pro-active "customer" focus

Exceptional attention to detail, organization, confidentiality, quality

Strong follow through skills

Flexibility to quickly shift priorities and juggle simultaneous requirements, along with the inclination to support any need

Enthusiastic team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment.
