Role Summary:

The Administrative Associate will provide administrative and clerical support to the Engineering leadership team and employees.

Essential Responsibilities:

In addition, as the Administrative Associate, you will:

Schedule meetings and daily appointments

Receive and place telephone calls on behalf of the Engineering leaders

Make travel arrangements

Generate letters, reports, memorandum, presentations, general correspondence and other documents as assigned

Receive, review and distribute all incoming correspondence and documents to proper individuals for action

Review expense accounts and related administrative documents requiring Section Leader approval

Organize and maintain an efficient filing system for correspondence, records, reference data, reports and sensitive documents

Other duties as assigned by Engineering leader

Qualifications/Requirements:

High School Diploma / GED

A minimum of 2 years of secretarial, clerical or administrative assistant experience

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT(S):

Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance

This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment

Desired Characteristics:

Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Powerpoint, Word, Excel)

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

Working knowledge of GE organizations, policies and procedures

Experience in handling phone systems and other office technology as required

Experience supporting Engineering organization

Ability to maintain confidentiality
