Role Summary:

In the Lead Production Quality Engineer role, you will own a Turbine Airfoil production line and all the associated Quality activities associated with that product line. Activities in include continuous improving of processes, managing daily defective hardware, supporting cost out efforts and owning specific inspection technologies.

Essential Responsibilities:

In addition, the Lead Production Quality Engineer will :

Own part compliance, CI, escapes, QEMs and customer returns for a specific part family

* Ownership includes both quality assurance and quality control of products, services, manufacturing processes

Manage the part conformance in manufacturing, incoming goods control, product inspection, witness points, etc.

Expected to resolve problems through the application of acquired expertise guided by precedent and GE Aviation methodologies

Partner together with external team from the various business units as well as internal teams

Take an active role in developing the Quality's Organization Matrix within the implementation of Brilliant Factory

Assist with facilitating CID efforts for a part family

Serve as the site's point person for escapes, QEMs and customer returns including defect investigations and CA's

Be GEAPS focal person for Quality Team…Take a big role in GEAPS methodology for Quality

Participating in the PCC board meetings

Communicates with direct team and leadership

Present to internal teams on metrics, project status and research

Actively participate in strengthening our teaming culture by supporting the advancement of Teaming principles consistent with the site's Teaming strategy

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college

A minimum of 4 years of manufacturing experience or Operations Management Leadership Program (OMLP) graduates

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT :

Willingness to flex work schedule based on business requirements

Desired Characteristics:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (preferably in an Engineering discipline)

Strong oral and written communication skills

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Strong problem-solving skills

Strong Analytical skills with a focus on technology

Prior GE Aviation Intern / Co-op experience

Lean Technology understanding and experience

4 years Manufacturing experience in a fast-paced production environment

Ability to adapt to change
