Role Summary:

The Inspector (2nd Shift) will:

Essential Responsibilities:

Processing / receiving inspection items

Processing Returned Material Authorization items

Performing final inspections of detail parts and assemblies

Acting as a Designated Source Quality Representative on the behalf of customers, processing shipping documents including certificates of conformanceReviewing supplier First Article Inspections (FAIs)

Completing detail part and assembly FAIs

Qualifications/Requirements:

High School Diploma / GED

Experienced user of measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, bore micrometers, shadowgraphs, etc.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS :

Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and specifications

Understand, interpret and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing for inspection purposes

This position may be required to perform safety sensitive work in the future, and would be subject at that time to random drug and alcohol testing under Federal Aviation Administration regulations. GE Aviation, Loves Park has a zero-tolerance policy

This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment

Desired Characteristics:

Prior experience in a quality role

Prior experience with First Article Inspections

Prior experience with final inspections of piece parts and assemblies

Manual CMM training AS9100 experience

Beginning ability to demonstrate GE Beliefs

In-tune with outside customers and environment

Helps others see the potential impact of their decisions

Works collaboratively and respects all others

Continuously develops self and others

Embraces ambiguity and engages others in idea generation

Collaboration skills and ability to work in a team environment are essential
