Role Summary:

Unison Industries, a wholly owned subsidiary of GE Aviation, is a world leader in the design and manufacture of electrical components, sensors and systems for aircraft, industrial, marine, military and space. Unison's products span the globe and can be found on almost anything flying - from two place trainer airplanes to giant 747's and rockets traveling to space.

We presently have openings for Assembler Level 3 in our Space Ignition Department, working from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Essential Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

Use specialized AC / DC type test equipment for space products

Perform complex work on prototypes or first-time builds

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and recommend required rework

Build test equipment and accessories for space products

Provide feedback to appropriate support functions

Assist with labor & material quoting

Train lower level employees, and work with limited supervision

Lead, support, and participate in team Initiatives

Utilize proper PPE, safety equipment, and follow safety procedures

This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment.

Qualifications/Requirements:

High School Diploma / GED

Minimum 3 years of experience in assembly operations

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment.

Ability and willingness to utilize PPE, safety equipment, and follow safety procedures

Advanced understanding of blueprint and process sheet interpretation

Ability and willingness to obtain solder certifications for space (space addendum)Willingness and ability to perform all electrical and mechanical testing in-process as applicable

Desired Characteristics:

Minimum 5 years of experience in assembly operations

Assembly knowledge of multiple product lines

Solder certified, space addendum

Prior experience with leak check

Prior Inspection experience, including inspection for space products

Experience in a self-directed team environment
