Role Summary/Purpose

The Administrative Assistant will provide overall administrative support for GE Aviation - Asheville CMC site leader and other staff members as needed. In this role, you will arrange and manage meetings / calendars to optimize the effective use of time. You will handle travel arrangements, coordinate key local employee events, create presentations, and manage on-line folders / libraries to most effectively manage information. You will handle interface with external and internal visitors.

Essential Responsibilities

In addition, the Administrative Assistant will :

Provide Administrative support to the CMC Plant Leader, Human Resources Leader and overall CMC Asheville Team

Be responsible for defined work or projects with moderate complexity

Follow an individual work plan

Meet Day to day short term objectives

Resolve issues through immediate or short-term planning

Perform wide variety of administrative support activities, which require the handling of business-sensitive and confidential information

Develop presentations, agendas, correspondence and memoranda for a variety of internal and external executive populations and create executive level charts, reports, and correspondence using the Microsoft toolkit

Responsible for the establishment of meeting and agenda priorities, travel schedules and staff meetings within a very dynamic and ever-changing environment

Work with both internal and external customers on meeting agendas and events planning

Review and respond to emails and phone calls from other key management personnel across GE as required, using discretion and judgment in gathering and conveying pertinent information in a timely manner

Interface with Corporate GE, governmental agencies, media and community leaders

Responsible for purchasing and maintaining the office administrative supplies

Establish and maintain documentation, ensuring timely filing of documents, and other ad hoc secretarial support, e.g. faxing, photocopying, etc.

Manage petty cash account and provide reports to Accounts Payable

Assist with coordination and planning of interviews, on-boarding and training of new personnel

Provide documentation of procedures for administrative activities

Exhibit global awareness when working with teams, customers, and visitors the Asheville CMC Plant

Qualifications/Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in an Administrator role)

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT :

This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment

Flexibility with schedule, including and not limited to overtime on short notice

Ability and Willingness to work flexible hours / shifts
